After a long afternoon I now officially own a PhD degree from NTNU in Viking Hiking!
1.) "Viking Hiking" together with many students of our Social Programme: It all started at four o'clock pm yesterday when a bus came to pick us up and brought us to the Bymarka (recreation ground around Trondheim). There we were to hike from lake to lake and swim in each one - for swimming in only 1 lake one earned a Bachelor's degree, for 2 lakes a Master's degree and for swimming in all three lakes one was awarded with the title "PhD of Viking Hiking".
The first lake was called "Baklidammen". There we had a nice and refreshing (15°C) swim and got a free sandwich each. From Baklidammen we hiked for about 30 minutes to Kyvatnet and after swimming there we carried on to Lianvatnet for our third rendez-vouz with a wonderful swimming lake in the picturesque Norwegian nature. Unfortunately the sun abandoned us there and it cooled off rather quickly. But luckily the bus came quite soon and took us to...
2.) ...the football match between Rosenborg BK (Trondheim) and AIK Fotboll (Stockholm)!
We got our tickets for a very (!) cheap price via the International Office of the university and they were worth every øre. It was a qualification match for the Champions League and Rosenborg won 3:0! I enjoyed the game very much and was proud to have seen a match of perhaps the best football team of Scandinavia.
