Fireworks and a concert

15.09.'10: This year the NTNU is celebrating its 100th year of existence and therefore they arranged a firework display over Marinen - the park between the River Nidelva and the Nidaros cathedral which I watched together with Günther and Anna. It made me feel a little bit like during New Year's Eve - Günther and me whistled "The Blue Danube" to get the right atmosphere. After that we went to Café 3B for a pint of beer and a game of pool. On the way home I took these nice picures:

18.09.'10: Rather by coincidence I found out that one of my favourite bands, Pagan's Mind, was going to play in Trondheim in the evening and I immediately bought a ticket. After showing some of their songs to Anna, who has quite a similar music taste, she spontaneously decided to accompany me there - and we didn't regret it! It was a brilliant concert and I ended up with a sore throat and a stiff neck from singing and headbanging to all of their great songs.
We were also gifted with a surprise support act, "Supremacy", a band hailing from Skien, the same town as Pagan's Mind. When the concert was over I congratulated the singer on their great performance and after a little chat he gave me one of their demo CDs for free. Nice move! I hope they manage to become more famous!

Here's a sample of their live performace (recorded in Rockefeller Music Hall, Oslo, in 2008):
