24.09. - 26.09. '10: Låvefæst and Studenterhytta

24.09.'10: Once every year in autumn the Medicine students from Trondheim rent a "låve" (barn) outside of Trondheim in order to get collectively wasted. As one of the 280 students who managed to get a ticket, I was of course more than happy to take part in this tradition! The transport there and back again was paid for with our tickets, so we didn't have to worry about anything. We all had to dress up as typical "trønders" (local people from Trøndelag), who seem to be known for their mustaches and rustic style, and also had a very good one-man-band playing trøndersk folk music. It was really an absolutely awesome evening! I met many friends from my semester and also from other semesters and shall probably remember this evening as one of the greatest parties of the year!

25.09. - 26.09.: With a slight hangover from rather excessive partying the night before (I had waaay too much... erm... warm milk with honey!) I enjoyed a relaxing weekend together with Hilde, Sigrid and Lina at Studenterhytta, a big cabin just outside of Trondheim run by students for students. We stayed there for the night and had a nice time playing cards in the evening. The next morning we went on a walk up the nearest hill Gråkallen, which turned out to become quite an adventure as I only had my every-day sneakers with me and big parts of the way up were quite wet - almost boggy. So I ended up tip-toeing up and down the entire hill from stone to stone. The view was worth it, though, and I couldn't have stayed inside during such a nice weather! Thank you, girls, for the nice trip!
